Parson's Blessing Day

On Sunday we had the wonderful opportunity of blessing Parson in sacrament. We were joined by so many of our close family members and friends. Ryan offered a powerful blessing. I am so thankful that I have a husband who is worthy to offer up such blessings from our Father in Heaven.

Parson is such a calm spirit and has brought a special feeling of peace to our home. The Bishop even admitted to peaking at Parson during the blessing and found him wide eyed looking earnestly at Ryan. I am so grateful to have him and the other boys in my life. They bring me such joy and happiness.

Bubbles

We went to St. George a few weeks ago and stayed in Ryan's parents condo. It was a nice little get away and the kids had a blast. In fact, we didn't even have to leave the condo for them to find true excitement. They got in the tub and Ryan turned on the jets and walked out. Next thing we know they are yelling for help! Guess there was some left over bubbles in the jets.

Talk about "Swine flue" we have the "Bird flu"!

For the past few months I have been seeing and influx of birds flying in our backyard. I mentioned to Ryan that we might have a birds nest on our house. We looked around but couldn't find anything. A few days ago we were out working in the back yard and we found...to our surprise...a bird flying out of our BBQ. Ryan went over and lifted up the lid and ....talk about a nest! Well they hatched today and we have a new addition(s) to our family. Five little baby bird!

It's hard to explain a mother's love.... I absolutely love this little guy!

The boys have been very excited to have Parson home and are always very helpful....maybe a little too helpful if you know what I mean! His first bath at home was a family project!

Landon is so helpful when it comes to dressing Parson. He is so soft with him.
It was a late night/early Sunday morning the day Parson was born but everybody was excited to welcome him into the world! Thanks to all our family members that showed so much love and support and made it a very special event!

Ryan has always been a great father to our boys but I am always so impressed by his gentle ways.......

PARSON HAL DUNCAN HAS JOINED OUR FAMILY! Parson was born on March 1st 2009 at 3:30am. He came on his own and we were all very happy to make it to the hospital. After having so many false labor pains I didn't really think I was going into labor. Ryan finally convinced me to head to the hospital and I am so thankful we did. By the time we got to his parents I was READY! We arrived at the hospital at 12:30 and he was born 3 hrs later! The delivery was a breeze and we have been so blessed to have his sweet calm spirit in our home!

THE AFTER PARTY!!!!

We spent the week after Christmas up at the Cabin as a family and had some friends up to join us to bring in the New Year! 9 Kids and 8 Adults and what a blast! The kids had a great time.

There is nothing like spending time away as a family. Ryan took some time to teach the boys how to gather firewood, build a proper fire, dig out snowmobiles, and made some great meals all as I relaxed and read.

WHAT MORE CAN I SAY.... IT WAS AWSOME!

CHIRSTMAS!!

I apologize if you are actually following this blog! I found myself on facebook these days and am having a hard time finding time for both! Here is a quick update....

We had a wonderful Christmas! We have been so blessed and our children are completely spoiled by their grandparents.... as are we! It was fun to have Dave and Aubrey in town and to see Tyler and Malia. We spent Christmas Eve with the Scott family where we started new traditions and then went to the Duncan side on Christmas morning. What a wonderful time of year and a great opportunity to remember our Savior and spend time with those we love.

After Christmas we went up to the cabin as a family and spent the week up there. As always it took some work to get in and get warm. As Ryan put it, "we are making memories!?!?!"
